On July 30th in Springfield Massachusetts, Barack Obama gave a speech in which he said we could save as much oil as new drilling would be expected to bring in - simply by checking the tire inflation on our cars and getting regular tune-ups!  In other words, this would save billions of barrels of oil.  There are billions of barrels believed to exist if you combine ANWR, offshore drilling and continental drilling, including shale.  These are all areas where Democrats are not allowing us to drill.  Obama defends this prohibition on drilling by saying inflating your tires and getting regular tune-ups would save as much oil as drilling in those areas would bring in!

It is such a ridiculous statement that the mainstream media would jump all over John McCain or any other Republican who might dare say such a ridiculous thing.
