Ahmed Yousef, adviser to the Islamic terrorist group Hamas endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president of the United States.
In a statement to WABC (New York) news on April 13th, Yousef said, "We like Mr. Obama and we hope that he will win the election and do believe that he is like John Kennedy a great man and great principles."

So, let's talk about all the people who support Obama. William Ayers, member of the Weather Underground terrorist group which set bombs in government buildings in protest of the Vietnam War. On 9/11/2001 Mr. Ayers wrote an article in which he said he wished "he had done more", he wished he had bombed more U.S. government buildings.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's chosen pastor for 20 years, is a supporter. Rev. Wright says we should not ask God to bless America, but rather we should ask God to damn America.

Michelle Obama, Barack's wife said recently that she had never been proud of American in her entire adult life.

Many have recently said that a candidate shouldn't be judged by those who support him. But why should a candidate not be judged by the company he chooses to keep? If you choose to patronize what many have called a hateful and racist church for more than 20 years, then that must say something about how you feel about race. If you're married to a woman who says she has never in her life been proud of her country until now (when her husband is doing well in the primaries), wisdom would lead you to believe that the candidate himself must feel similarly. It's true that spouses can have different opinions, but these are on such fundamental issues and they are shared by so many people Obama has chosen as important individuals in his life, that it's reasonable to conclude he may well share these feelings.

He has chosen a pastor for 20 years who is not proud of America, he is married to a woman who is not proud of America and he is surrounded by acquaintances and friends who are not proud of America. Therefore, a reasonable person may conclude that he himself is not proud of the country he wishes to lead. Why would someone who did have genuine pride in America choose to be surrounded by people who don't? And not just any people, but the most important people one can have in their lives... spouses, pastors and friends.

The question of supporters though is different. It is true that a candidate may not agree with the opinions of all those who support him. However, if a candidate begins to collect a substantial number of like-minded supporters you can't be faulted for asking why that might be. In the case of Barack Obama, he is supported by many people who have disturbing things to say about America. For details on Obama's disturbing connections, please read this National Review article.
